Bucket Access Platform

Bucket Access Platforms

CPR Fabrication and Engineering were recently approached to redesign, fabricate and repair structural defects to an existing bucket access platform. These defects must be repaired to ensure the stand complies with all relevant Australian and site standards.

CPR worked collaboratively with our client to establish a clear scope of work including a site inspection, defect report and initial CAD drawing.

The unit was then freighted to our workshop in Rutherford where the team stripped, sandblasted, and crack-tested the stand once this process was completed we were able to provide the customer with an accurate quote.

Once we received approval for the works, the CPR Fabrication and Engineering team began working on the structural defects, including removing the damaged top platform section and access ladder. Once the additional defect repairs were completed the team started fabricating and installing the new handrails, platform, and stairs. Once structural repairs were completed, the stand was sandblasted and painted with colours chosen by the site.

When the fabrication team had completed the repair work, the platform was handed over to the CPR Automotive team to begin replacing the axle, braking, coupling, wheel and tyre assemblies and upgrading the jacking legs. To complete the stand our auto-electricians re-wired all the lights and brakes to suit the customer’s site specifications.

The platform was then stickered with the relevant safety, compliance and maintenance plaques and returned to site on time and in a like new condition.
